The InterNenda! Program
Both a play on words and meaning, LocalPushGlobal's InterNenda! program offers an experience unlike any other.
Interns will be given the opportunity to work alongside local community service organizations teaching a variety of internet and software tools that help guide the knowledge sharing process.
It is our interns that deliver concrete, sustainable IT education to our recipient organizations.
Upon arrival, LocalPushGlobal interns receive mandatory orientation and training on LocalPushGlobal's best practices and the common resources that will improve their ability to provide quality IT education in the field.
Once interns have received and completed their in-house training, they are deemed qualified to work in the field as a LocalPushGlobal representative.
LocalPushGlobal then assigns and matches its interns to recipient organizations.
We consider our interns' experiences, preferences and interests to the best of our ability for their assignments.
After interns have been assigned, they are briefed with their recipient organization's background and priorities.
Soon after, they are introduced to the recipient organization(s) with which they will be working.
LocalPushGlobal insists upon having at least one representative of every recipient organization assigned to at least one intern.
In this manner, recipient organization representatives and LocalPushGlobal interns work together to accomplish the recipient organization's goals.
The InterNenda! program is a unique opportunity to gain field and work experience while on location in Mombasa, Kenya.
